I will get back to the Maritime Adventures, but we had a fun day in the city yesterday, so it seemed like I should do a quick post! Staying ahead for a change. We had a beautiful Saturday, where we crammed in a lot of activities - there was the Khatsailano Street festival, followed by a free concert at the beach by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra! And I found a few photos from June on my camera that I had lost track of and thought I should share.

We’ve had a busy few weeks and we’re off to Halifax later this evening for a long-overdue vacation. It should be fun. In the meantime, my birthday has come and gone, the owls have had their owlets, the gardens on Galiano are coming along well, and there are lots of bird photos. The usual.

Risa and her husband Jeff moved back to Ontario four years ago, which means we have not seen then as much as we would like. On Monday, I took the day off from work to spend with Mackenzie. We decided to do a bit of exploration around North Vancouver, and area she hadn’t seen much of previously. We had a bit of an epic day, starting on Cypress Mountain, heading over to Lynn Canyon, lunch at Lonsdale Quay, out to Lighthouse Park and then wrapping it up by meeting Justine downtown for an epic sunset happy hour!
