Quick Post on Some Vancouver Activities

I will get back to the Maritime Adventures, but we had a fun day in the city yesterday, so it seemed like I should do a quick post! Staying ahead for a change. We had a beautiful Saturday, where we crammed in a lot of activities - there was the Khatsailano Street festival, followed by a free concert at the beach by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra! And I found a few photos from June on my camera that I had lost track of and thought I should share.

Time for a Change

We’re going to take a short break from the Maritimes updates (yes, they are going to take a while longer…) as I have some exciting news to share! I have changed jobs, leaving Semtech (Sierra Wireless) after almost 10 years (!) to join my new team at Netgear! We had a morning up the Sea to Sky Gondola, followed by an afternoon/evening in Whistler as a way to round out Mackenzie’s visit and enjoy the last of the sunshine.

A Visit from Mackenzie - Part III

On Monday, I took the day off from work to spend with Mackenzie. We decided to do a bit of exploration around North Vancouver, and area she hadn’t seen much of previously. We had a bit of an epic day, starting on Cypress Mountain, heading over to Lynn Canyon, lunch at Lonsdale Quay, out to Lighthouse Park and then wrapping it up by meeting Justine downtown for an epic sunset happy hour!

A Visit from Mackenzie - Part I

For her 18th birthday (last July), we had offered to organize a trip for our niece Mackenzie to come to Vancouver for a week or so. We finally got the trip organized around Christmas time, and she decided she wanted to come out in February - much to our surprise. As it turned out, she picked a good week! We had snow just before she arrived and a high pressure system settled in that gave us cold temperatures and sunny skies.
