The big news this summer was my change of jobs from Semtech to NETGEAR. It’s been a little over a month, and while there are challenges I think I am happy with the decision. A couple of weeks after I started we had our Summer Party, up at Grouse Mountain. This was great, as it gave me a chance to meet with many of my new colleagues, my new boss was in person and the two people that report to me were also attending in person.
Many of the people in attendance had never seen bears before, so after we made it to the top, we headed straight for the grizzly bear enclsure.
We were free to wander (after having some lunch), and so we went to watch some of the shows. The lumberjack show was first.
After the lumberjack show, we wandered over to watch the Birds of Prey show. We’ve seen this one before, so knew what to expect. But it’s still amazing to see such beautiful birds, and it’s great when they send them swooping over the crowd!
Here are some of the better photos from the bird show.
After the bird show, we wandered back over to check out the bears again.
Grouse Mountain opened new gondolas this year. This was the first time we’d been on them!
We had a fun day and got to hang out with the new team!
