Another short post to catch up on. We were on Galiano the weekend after our visit with Risa in order to get the gardens started and generally keep an eye on things. Lots of pics in this post and very little commentary!

The Bird Buddy caught some fun shots of the male Anna’s Hummingbird.

I love this one!

Beautiful morning sunlight.

We had some nice sunrises this weekend.

The snowdrops were in bloom.

As were the crocuses.

The new planter box we built.

It was such a lovely night, we had a fire and sat outside until it got too cold.

Banana slug!

A little tree frog in the garden.

The main reason for this trip was to prep the gardens for planting, and to get a few seeds in the ground.

We had quite a lot of clean up to do.

Justine had the most in clearing out her flower beds.

All in all, it was a productive weekend and we got everything ready.

I even got radishes and peas planted.

He doesn’t look like much right now, but this is the biggest tree on the planet! A 3 year old Giant Sequoia! Let’s hope he thrives!

We planted one of each side of the property, and I hope they survive our crappy soil.

We planted a few other things to keep it company, and then fenced the whole area.
