Sadly, Monday came very quickly and we head to head back to Vancouver. We had a leisurely morning, and Justine and I went out to the beach one last time to watch Fergus surf. It was the biggest day by far - waves were pushing a good 10 feet in places - it would have been fun to be out there. Fergus chose the smaller part of the beach, which was probably the smart thing to do. At the far south end, there is a big rock break and the better surfers and kayakers were having a blast.
After getting cleaned up from the beach, we had some lunch then went into town for a a look at the Tofino Brewing Company. We had a few samples, bought some of their fine beer then headed for home.
The drive home was pretty uneventful. We did make one short stop to check out a waterfall near the road along the way. Strangely enough when we got to the ferry line up, we ended up seeing Sarah McLachlan on the ferry again. She ended up right beside us on the ferry deck. Hopefully she doesn't think we were stalking her. :-)
We had a great weekend, tried something new, hung out with friends and were able to relax a bit.
