I got back from New York early afternoon on Saturday (more about New York in another post). I would have loved to stay longer in New York, but we had tickets to see my favourite band, 54-40, at the Commodore Ballroom.
I have probably seen 54-40 at least 25 times in my life - maybe more - but I've lost track. This show was a little bit special in that it was the 50th time they have played the Commodore.
Being from Vancouver, and having had a long career (since the early 80s), they hold a pretty unique spot in the local music scene. It was a great show - all the hits, a few obscure songs and even a new track. The audience was quite into it, and all the sing-alongs were loud. It was great fun.
Some crappy pics from the back of the room.
