A Start to Spring

A little over a month ago, we went to the Vancouver Home and Garden Show to look for some new things for our home - specifically some new furniture for our roof-top deck. We ended up finding a pretty good deal on a very nice set, and ordered it a week or two later. The fabric we wanted caused it to be delayed (of course), but last week, they arrived to deliver it.

I wasn't there, but Justine was home when they came to deliver it. After taking one look at the stairs to our place, they decided to use the crane on the back of the truck, and hoisted the whole thing up onto the roof of the building, then walked the pieces down to our roof deck.

The weather of course was pretty crappy for the next few days, but finally on Monday night we had a clear evening, so we were able to set-up the new patio set and give it a try.

The sun was setting - sorry for the bad photos

And the view - it was a great night...

These were just quick pictures when we set it up the first time. I'll go back and take some more later, when the suns not shining right into the camera. Still, we're very happy with it, and it will make the deck our go-to place for the summer.

We're off to Tofino on Thursday, which means my posts from Stockholm will not be up any tim soon. I've been sick all week, and so haven't gotten to that yet. So between Stockholm and Tofino, I'm likely to have quite a lot to post in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
