Looks like it will be three posts, just to keep things a little more manageable. We had an extra long weekend on Galiano, followed by a new experience at the new Oakridge Park, a night out at Bard on the Beach and a Whitecaps game. The summer just keeps coming fast and furious!

After spending most weekends on Galiano, we had a weekend in the city (sort of) that we made the most of. Friday night I hung out with my friend Dave at the breweries in Port Moody. Saturday was all Vancouver as we started the day at the Khatsailano Street Festival, followed by a wander looking for a place to watch the England game, a stop at a beach volleyball tournament and then Symphony at Sunset. Sunday we headed up to Squamish to do a hike on the Sea to Sky Gondola, followed by hanging out with our friends Nicole and Anthony. I’m tired just thinking about it all!

With Canada Day mid-week this year, we had decided to spend the whole week on Galiano. Our friend David, who has been gracious enough in the past to take us out on his boat suggested that we do the Canada Day Lamb BBQ on Saturna Island again - but with a twist! We’d leave Tuesday night and “camp” on the boat!

With Canada Day mid-week this year, we decided to spend the whole week on Galiano. We were headed over on Friday night (26th) and staying through the following Sunday. Canada Day was in the middle, and since we had a longer stretch, we decided to spend the weekend on Vancouver Island visiting our friends Stuart and jo and their girls. It had beena while so it was good to see them.

We booked a long weekend on Mount Washington. It should have been epic, but instead the conditions were horrendous! We skied one day and did some tubing but it was really a bust as there was no snow! We did have a great visit with friends, so that made it all worth while! Heads up - this post is pretty long.
