I am finally caught up (mostly) and this one will be fairly quick. I thought I share some pictures of the roof deck, a really funny (short) story and a quick post on our first trip to the Nat for the summer to see the Vancouver Canadians play baseball! Summer is finally here!
So first up, the jungle that is our roof deck! Despite everything being left out over the winter (there are quite a few plants I’d normally bring inside, but couldn’t because of the reno), the garden is flourishing. So I thought I’d share a few pictures.
Off to the Nat!
We like to attend baseball games with our Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium during the summer. Fairly last minute I decided to buy tickets to a game, so after work we decide to hop on the bus and head over to the game. That’s where the fun began. 6th Avenue, just outside our front gate is a very major street - one of the primary east/west arteries. Normally there is a lot of traffic, but it generally flows OK. We came outside to complete grid lock! As we crossed the street to head over to the bus we discovered why…
Yep… a mother goose and her goslings had the entire side of the street shut down - with a police escourt!
Our bus came so we left the geese to do their thing. It’s about a 20 ride up to the ballpark and we were in lots of time to grab some food, a beer and settle in for the game!
