The week after getting home from India I needed to turn around and go to North Carolina for a meeting with a Partner and a Customer. There isn’t a lot to this post, but mostly it’s about me fincally making ti to Duke University to see the campus.
This is what all the fuss was about.
When I arrived in NC, it was actually colder than it was in Vancouver. And they had gotten a dusting of snow. Now Vancouver overreacts to any snow, so I understand. But they were going on like it was the end of the world! It wa spretty funny.
The trip was for a couple of important in person meetings, which took up most of Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, I was flying home in the early afternoon, but I had a little bit of time to spare, so I decided to take an hour or so to head over to the campus of Duke University (Blue Devils) to check it our. I’ve been a fan of Duke baskerball since the late 90s, and this is aplace I’ve always wanted to check out. I’m a little surprised that it’s taken me this long.
I spent about an hour wandering the campus. It’s a beautiful place, even seeing it midwinnter. In the spring and summer it must be spectacular. I wish I could have gone into the basketball court, but maybe another time there will be a game on.
After my quick visit, it was back to the airport and then back home. Finally!
