As you might expect, I took a lot of photos during our time on Mount Rainier. I’ll break the photo gallery posts up into multiple parts, so it’s not quite so overwhelming.
This first photo gallery post from Mount Rainier will capture all the photos from our first day on the mountain, as we explored and re-acquainted ourselves with this spectacular place!

The mountain and some of the historic buildings at Paradise.

Looking up to Mount Rainier - our first view of the mountain in almost 4 years.

The Historic National Park Lodge.

Inside the dining room at the Park Lodge restaurant.

Taking an evening stroll out on the trails. You don’t have to go far to get pretty amazing views of the mountain.

Myrtle Falls - in this light, it all looks a little fake.

A closer view of the falls.

The foot bridge heading over the river, heading up into the lapine meadows.

The small river that becomes Myrtle Falls - the waterfall is right behind me.

Looking out over the Tatoosh Range.

Now that’s a pretty great view!

Looking back down at the lodge and other buildings at Paradise.

As the sun started to set, the light on the Tatoosh Range started to make the mountains glow.

Our first look at wildflowers…

This area near the parking lot seemed promising and offered hope for many more to come.

One of my favorite photos from the trip.

As we headed back down the mountain, the sunset and provided one of our bests sunsets.
