Saturday was a pretty quiet day - a lot of wandering around SoHo, then dinner at Vandal. Sunday was a short day, with our flight home in the early evening. But it was Marathon Sunday, and the New York City Marathon holds a special place in my heart.

Justine and I love going to New York City. There’s so many great things to do, so many cool places to go, and we’ve had some great trips over the years. And of course, we got engaged in New York, so there’s that memory that will always be very special. We had a busy long weekend planned, and both of us needed to get away and detach from work for a bit. As it was Halloween and the Marathon weekend, we had lots to do!

On the last stretch of the road trip we camped at the Gorge Amphitheater to see the Mumford and Sons concert, then headed to Portland for our annual Whitecaps away game, before taking a long day to work our way home along the coast. It was a great end to the trip.
