Some More birds; Another Reifel Trip

I feel like I'm making some progress. I'm starting to get through some photos and some posts, admittedly the shorter, easier ones. This weekend we went back out to Reifel and I got to put my new camera through its paces a little bit.

It was a beautiful, sunny day and as it was still pretty early in the year, there was a good chance for some interesting birds. We were fairly late in the day, so it was also good for reduced crowds.

I'm not sure what this one is.

We wandered the reserve for a couple of hours, and were lucky with a great horned owl sighting. It was way up in a tree, so the photos weren't anything worth posting, but it's always a good day where there are owls! There was also a saw-whet owl around, but we didn't see it. There were lots of interesting ducks, including lots of wood ducks which always make for good pics.

It was a nice day out in the sunshine. Here's a bunch of pics from the day.
