On Thursday afternoon we headed from Rotterdam to Brussels by train, for a hearing at the European Commission (EC). We do a lot of business with a number of agencies within the EC, and this hearing was for those group to provide the Commission with feedback on their requirements for the next contract. So it was pretty important for us to hear what they think they need in the next five years.
Sadly, the weather was still crappy for our time in Brussels. We had dinner in a local restaurant on Thursday night, spent all day Friday in the Hearing, and then spent Friday evening wandering central Brussels. I have been to Brussels a number fo times in the past, so I know (and like) the city. We had dinner in one of the tourist traps along the square, which was fine. After dinner we wandered a bit more then went our separate ways.
