Not to rub it in too much for those of you in Ontario that are still locked in the grip of winter, but spring seems to have arrived here in Vancouver.
OK, now that I have that out of my system, I thought I would post a quick update. I have over 1,300 photos to process from our trip to Maui, before I can get some proper blog update completed. That's likely to take a while.
After getting back from Maui late Thursday night, it was back to the office for a day before the weekend. Friday night was my favourite night of the year in Vancouver - the Vancouver Wine Festival!
This year the festival was focused on California as their main region of choice, with Chardonnay as the grape of choice. Neither of us are much in the way of Chardonnay drinkers, so that left us lots of time to focus on Californian reds. It was a great night - lots of great wine, talking with wine makers, good food samples and of course much wine bought at the end of the night. We had lots of fun.
We're going skiing on Sunday - Whistler has had a huge dumping of snow over the last week or so, and the upper reaches of the mountain have had the lifts closed for a couple of days. Should make for some good skiing tomorrow we hope.
They have also been making some more visual progress on the house - they started installing windows on Friday. I thought I'd throw up the latest set of pictures from our walk by earlier today.
