Progress on the new house!

It's exciting to watch the progress being made on the new place. Construction is now at the point where they are above ground, and starting to frame in the ground floor and (much more excitingly) the first level of our new townhouse. Obviously we're a long way from being complete, but now that they have started work on our specific unit, it's much more interesting to watch.

We wander by about once a week, and there are some pretty major progressions from one week to the next. Here are a set of pictures from January 19th. They had just started working on the ground level units.

So between my last visit in December and the third week in January, they had started to build the ground floor units.

This shot from the top of the property shows a bit of the view. We'll be up a lot higher, and it seems like we should be above the trees and telephone cables and such. Still a bit hard to tell at this stage, but it seems positive.

This past weekend we stopped by again as we were doing some running around. There was a lot more progress this time - they were starting to build our unit!

The main floor of our unit has been started. You can see it at the right side of the picture, on the second floor.
