On a recent trip to Galiano, I spent some time just taking pictures of the birds from the deck of the cottage. I thought I’d throw them up here - not a lot to add, just some fun pictures.
One of the more interesting things that has gone on this summer is that we have had a whole family of Wilson’s warblers living in the cherry tree at the edge of the forest. They seem to spend most of the day flitting about in the dense foliage. They disappear somewhere else at night. It’s been hard to get an exact count, but there must be 10-12 of them. There are juveniles (the less colourful ones) and the full yellow adults.
