We decided to spend the Easter long weekend at home, rather than go over to the island. The weather didn’t look like it was going to be great, and we were able to book a trip to Reifel on Saturday. This will be a short post mostly of pictures taken while out on walks while the sun was shining, plus some of the birds while at Reifel.

This is the perfect time for the cherry trees in Vancouver. They’re everywhere, and bloom for a good long time.

This year we’ve been lucky so far in that there has not been a lot of rain and wind, which strips the blossoms away.

Throughout COVID, I’ve been walking a lot, and many times my evening walks take me out along the water.

Saturday morning we headed out to Reifel. We hadn’t been in quite a while, and while the weather wasn’t great, we were looking forward to it. It rained on us for a short while when we arrived, but the rain stopped fairly quickly. The light wasn’t great, but we did see a few interesting things.
