The weather the past week has been uncharacteristically beautiful - cool and clear. I’m sure it cannot last, and so to take advantage Justine and I drove down to Boundary Bay to go for a walk along the trails and see what we could see.
There’s not really a lot to say for this one - just more pics of birds. I’m going to group by species (for the most part). You were warned.
I thought I’d start with some landscapes - the views of Mount Baker were amazing.
Early on we came across a small flock of house finches.
Western Meadowlarks - a first for us!
You can always count on Northern Harriers at Boundary Bay, hunting out on the marsh.
There was also a flock of Yellow-rumoed Warblers along the path.
And of course, lots of bald eagles around, including this juvenile.
