Deer Lake Park - Fall Walk

The weather this past weeked has been really nice and we wanted to make the most out of it. So we decided to head to BUrnaby and go for a walk around Deer Lake, at Deer Lake Park. It wasn’t the most exciting trip, but it was a nice day and we got outside for a bit.

Fall is generally a good time for birds in the lower mainland, so we had hoped that we might have a good day at Deer Lake. It was called out as a good spot in one of our books, and neither Justine nor I had ever been out there. We thought we’d give it a try.

It was sadly, very busy when we arrived. The parking lot was packed, and the park board had implemented one-way travel along the paths in the park. And it was needed, as many of the trails were quite narrow and there were lot of people out and about. Not a surprised given the sunny day. And as it related to birds, it was also very quiet. We made it almost all the way around the lake before we found a spot that gave us the time to watch for a bit.

The scenery was beautiful on the day.

After we finished out walk, we did a bunch of running around, getting some errands done.

Our last stop at Storm brewing.
