As this was a work event, I won't say too much about it. Days of conference activities; nights were spent trying to catch up on work and socialize. The weather was spectacular, so I didn't mind being away from rainy Vancouver.
We stayed at Rancho Bernardo Inn, a golf resort about an hour northeast of San Diego.
The grounds were amazing - one of the most striking features was all the orange trees!
The rooms were pretty nice as well.
On my first morning, I headed out for a run. The sunrise was spectacular.
It was very annoying being in this beautiful spot, but not being able to play any golf.
Wednesday morning there was a full lunar eclipse. We were up just early enough to see it full, and went for a run up to the top of a local hill. The view was spectacular.
The cross on top of Battle Cross Mountain.
Me and the crazy Europeans.
More of the great view.
Our last evening event was at a local winery. The wine wasn't great, but it was a nice location.
