Ethan and Lisa's Last Day

It’s a bad excuse, but life and word have been so crazy of late that I’m way behind on any posts. This one has been sitting on my computer since late August, when Lisa and Ethan visited. Of course, it’s been so long now that I’ve forgotten most of the details.

Friday night we took Lisa and Ethan to the evening market on the North Shore.

We had a fun night, and wrapped it up with dinner on the patio.

For Ethan and Lisa’s last day (Saturday), we had about half a day before we needed to take them to the airport for their flight. We wandered over to the market in the morning, and were pleasantly surprised by a heron hanging about in one of the big pine trees. That was a little unusual.

I think this was the first time I’ve ever seen a heron hanging out in that set of trees near Granville Island.

After hanging out at the market, we got organized and drove down to the Reifel bird sanctuary to spend a few hours. It was another beautiful day, and good to spend it outdoors. I don’t have a lot of colour to add, so I’ll just upload the photos.
